Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Child support

Our JOD was final 9-10-08. We have an 11 month old baby. The child support order became effective Oct 1st, 2008. I have received two payments thus far through the FOC/MISDU. My ex is $4,000 in arrearage due to his noncompliance and gameplaying until the foc finally caught up with him..by sending several income w.btw hes a physician so financially is not issue...Now my question is.....He is now filing a motion to have child support decreased for Jan,2009 as he quit his job on 12-01-08....off for a week or so and started a new job with a Temporary agency until he finds something permanent. He claims he is in financial hardship now and this is the reason for requesting a decrease in child support. I feel like hes trying to play games with the foc, bouncing around, telling me he will take a part time job to make it look like his income is lower than it actually is. So,,,since I wont agree to sign a paper agreeing to decrease chd support, he told me hes going to file a motion to modify child support.. Do you think the Judge will go along with his request? He just purchased 1/2 million dollar home, has new mercedes as well as a Land Rover. Please help...any suggestions, advice would really HELP me out. I dont know what to do?

Re: Child support

Your attorney is in the best position to advise you however, with the VERY limited facts you've given, I don't believe the court will decrease his suppport obligation. Your attorneys should also begin collecting the back support that he owes.
