Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Claiming children with divorce in process

Hi I am writing regarding claiming children in our divorce. My ex husband has the right to claim our children on our court papers, the problem is he has NO earned income so I was going to claim them but he doesnt want me to. So he is having his mom and dad claim them, can the grandparents LEGALLY claim my children when their father can't and I am legally capable of claiming them. They live with their father and I pay child support but it's not considered half their support for the year. Do their grandparents have LEGAL rights to claim the children because my ex gave them permission to claim them? Thanks

The grandparents probably can claim the children unless you get a court order to the contrary.
