I am looking into getting a divorce . But where i live u have to be in the state for 180 days . My husband is in jail for abusing my daughter . So i was wondering if i can get it sooner because of that reason .

In Michigan, you still need to be a resident for 180 days, otherwise you have to file in the state you were previously a resident.
