Joint will change executor

I have a joint will. My wife died.Can i change the excutor to my son. Currently the executrix is my sister in law.

I'm sorry you lost your wife. You can change the executor and other terms of the original will if you want by executing what's called a codicil (fancy word for change) to the will. Michigan requires certain things that, when done right, would prevent problems down the road. If you had an attorney do the original will, you should contact him or her to help with the changes.
