You must make an appearance in court to have the court determine whether or not you should be held in contempt for a specific action or alleged violation of a court order or probation. You should retain an attorney to determine whether the matter has a valid defense and if you were within your right to go against the court order. Generally speaking there are valid defenses for a parent particularly if the other parent is taking drugs or is in strong violation of a court order.
