Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Visitation complications/abandonment

My husband and his ex-wife have joint custody of my 12 yr old step-son. He lives with his mother and we get him every other weekend. We are to share tranporation equally. We drove all the way to his house (2hrs)to pick him up Friday a week ago and they were to drive all the way to our house to pick him up yesterday. They never showed up and are leaving threatning messages that if we don't have him home then we will be charged with kidnapping and truancy. His mother does this sort of thing all the time. She does not show up at our meeting point and denies us our visitations on a regular basis. What can we do?

This is a serious issue and should be addressed before the court. Your husband should contact an attorney to file a motion.

Your husband's attorney should file a show cause motion and get this matter in front of the judge.
