Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Michigan

If I speed up to pass a vehicle who you feel is drivivng recklessy, and get pulled over as you're slowing down and given a ticket for going 10 over in a 30 can you fight it? This is on a road going east and west and in the west bound lane there are two lanes of trafic. At first the truck in front of me was driving in both lanes and apeared intoxicated. As soon as they got in one lane i got in the left lane accelerated untill I was passed them then started to slow down. directly after that I was pulled over for speeding and a out head light and giving a speeding ticket. If I can fight this I would like to know where I could find information with similar cases to bring to court for proof of my innocence.

Thank You.

You want proof of your innocence? What innocence? You were going 10 miles over the speed limit, in order to get in FRONT of a drunk driver, AND you had a head light out. You got a ticket because you were breaking the law. Pay the ticket, fix your headlight, and the next time that you see an intoxicated driver, call the police and give them the license number. Then avoid getting in the drunk's way by either staying behind them, or taking a different route.
