Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Michigan

I was wondering, if my ex fiance gave me a ring, then months later gave me the diamond certification card, diamond warranty information months receipt of purchase months later but before the end of the relationship, am I legally responsible to give the ring back if I broke off the engagement?

Any attorney will say you are not legally obligated to give a gifted ring back just because you broke the engagement. Whether you decide to on other grounds is a different story. Consult with an attorney in your area for specifics.
