"If you are reported to HR are they supposed to tell you why because my friend is freaking out because she has no idea what she did if anything at all?

They don't have to do anything. Your friend is likely an at will employee (if not in a union) and can be fired for any reason or none at all. She just needs to show up, do her job, and wait out the issue.
