Legal Question in Employment Law in Michigan

Can a wage be partly determined by customer satisfaction polling results? I work for a sub-contractor for Dish Network. Dish network randomly conducts surveys on technician visits to determine their overall satisfaction/dissatisfaction of their technician visit. These surveys are conducted not only for new customers but for standing customers as well. We have been told recently that these survey results will be factored into our new wage system. Is this legal?
