Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Michigan

Birth injury

My baby recently died due to brain damage at birth. Her heart rate dropped and had lack of oxygen. Doctors say they don't know what happened she was healthy and so was I. They said they never seen this happen before. The next day after my c section I had a horrible rash. I believe the pitocin killed my baby. The autopsy shows no reason for death either that would cause lack of oxygen. Im' so angry, and miss my baby. Would I have a case and be able to sue for her death?

Re: Birth injury

I am sorry for you loss. I would be glad to discuss the incident with you at your convenience. I used to defend ob/gyns in medical malpractice cases and it was heartbreaking to see incidents such as yours. I know what the doctors would say in their defense and the arguments you can make. They are required to follow the standard of care of ob/gyns with similar expertise. If they did not do this and their omissions caused your child's death, then you have a case. Please call me 5-1-7-6-1-4-0-6-5-8 or email me as you wish.
