Re: Do i have a case against the lawyer

Attorneys are governed by strict ethical rules which require us to keep our clients informed of the events in their cases. We cannot accept settlements without first obtaining consent from our clients. This should have been done in your case. Further, settlement papers typically require your client's signature before a distribution/payment is made to settle a case. I would demand in writing a copy of your entire file and have a reputable attorney in your area review the case.
