Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

Can I clear or remove an eviction

I was evicted from an apartment for non payment of rent. My landlord was a slumlord and the rental unit was not in livable condition. Now i have a landlord evicition judgement though a company called RegistrySCOREX. Is there anyway i can clear up this matter or get it off my record?

The time to address the substandard conditions of the housing would have been when you raised the defense to your non-payment of rent. If you never had notice of the lawsuit for eviction you may have some defense, but that is rather rare. Now that there has been a judgment it is a matter of public record with the courts. You can contact the three credit reporting agencies and RegistryScorex and submit a statement to them regarding that account. This way at least potential creditors will be able to read the statement and know that it was important enough to you to add the statement, thereby lending some credibility to your statement.
