Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

Fungus in my basement

I recently purchased a home. I was informed on the disclosure that there had been some water in the basment dur to heavy rains this past spring. I have now discovered that there is fungus growing in the basement where the finished carpeted area meets the basement wall. Shouldn't have this been disclosed to us in the sellers diclosure statement? I believe that the previous owners knew about this fungus growth but failed to inform us of this and just removed the growth when we viewed the home and when our inspector viewed the home. Is there anything I can do about this?

Re: Fungus in my basement

In a nondisclosure case, you must prove the seller knew of the hidden defect. How will you prove that the seller knew of the fungus? For more information, please contact my office at (248)851-3171.
