Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

Sheriff's sale

How long do I have to move out once the sheriff serves notice. Also at this point can I file Chapter 13 to save the house? What is a Chapter 13 wage earner case?

Yes, you can file a Chapter 13 to stop foreclosure action on your house as long as you do it before the foreclosure sale. I don't know what a Chapter 13 wage earner case it, but normally a Chap. 13 debtor has steady income to make payments to creditors over the term of the plan. Sometimes this is not the case, however.
