Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

Conservator trustee rights

My wife and I have been taking care of her mentally challenged brother for 8 years now. My Wife and I gave our house to come and take care of him. My wife past way 3 months ago, and her sister now wants to be in charge of his money and assets. I have put a lot of time and money into taking care of the home. Also half of the items in the house are mine. He and I want things to stay the same, with me in charge. I have not taken anything from him, I don't want anything from him, just to take care of him. What rights do I have in this matter?

Assuming he is better off with you and there havebeen no complaints of mismanagement of funds, I think you have a decent chance of keeping the job. The judge must decide what is in his best interest. Visit www.kliszlaw.com to discuss further. Tim Klisz
