Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

As the executor for my mothers estate. I wanted to know if we are responsible for her outstanding credit card balances.

I was told by a family freind (who owns a collection agency) that the credit card debt is not collectible.

I keep getting calls from creditors asking for payment. What should I do?

Give all the creditors notice as provided by statute, and disallow any claims untimely filed (within 63 days)
