Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

stocks

mother past away found stocks with her name only. 3 siblings(their spouses, 3 grandchildren) involved. there is a trust and a will. can we use the paper work from bank(stock power form & affidavit of domicile forms) to open 3 new accounts and the stocks would be divided equally, or my brother (personal rep.) open one account, or do we have to go through probate?

Re: stocks

The terms of the Will and Trust documents should speak to this issue. If there is a trust, you likely will be unable to avoid the trustee.
