Legal Question in Workers Comp in Michigan

My girlfriend recieved$80,000from a personal injury lawsuit with state farm insurance while on workmans comp....the injury was a workmans comp case...she was in a car accident while doing an arrand for work...workmans comp case worker asked her if she had a lawsuit going on....girlfriend said no....is girlfriend in any kind of trouble with workmans comp if they find out?...how would they find out?
