Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Minnesota

I applied for a job online on February 28th and marked that I had not been charged/ convicted/ or plead guilty to a felony. Later that day I had court where I was adviced to plead guilty to a felony charge to get probation and make it go away. I was not sentenced either. I was later offered the job but my background check came back showing I plead guilty. So, the job was resended because yhey said I lied. But I hadn't ..can retaining a lawyer get me back the offered position?
