Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Minnesota

Appealing a judgement

My husband worked for a firm that was taken to court for sexual harassment. He was also named in the suit. The company nor my husband went to court because it was either settled or dropped. The company is holding my husband responsible for their court costs. They have now taken possesion of our vehicle to be auctioned off as partial payment and frozen our bank account. The original case was in 1996 and we were never notified of any proceedings to attend, to keep from having to pay these costs. What type of lawyer do I want to contact and do I have a chance of possibly getting this decision overturned?

Re: Appealing a judgement

I handel banruptcy. This could be a debt that might be dischargeable in bankruptcy. Also, perhaps you could get the judgment vacated, but you would have to act quickly.
