Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

I have asked my ex-husband to pay for 1/2 of our daughter's drivers education and 1/2 of a school trip to Washington. Normally I would ask him, but my child support from him decreased $450.00 last September. Is sall claims court an option? Any suggestions?

I also would only like to disuss any issue that comes up about our daughter with him and not his wife. What are my options with this. I have told him this over and over.

Small claims court cannot compel a parent to contribute to a child's expenses unless there is a Court Order establishing that obligation.
