Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

child passport

Ex-wife wants passport for our 12 year old daughter. I don't want my daughter to leave the country. The ex is now taking me to court to get a passport. What do I need to do to keep the judge from ordering this. I'm afraid the ex will that our daughter to live in Turkey with her family.

Re: child passport

There is no real trick here. You would have to demonstrate that there is some legitimate and articulable suspicion that the parent will not return with the child. Any threats of that nature would be critical. You must put together a countermotion with a supporting affidavit setting for reasons and any evidence for your concern.
