Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

debt

My husband and I married a year and a half ago attempting to blend two families. Now he is divorcing me. We spent $40,000 on his three kids a lot of it on credit cards. The cards are in my name, some still under may maiden name. Am I stuck with this huge bill? Should I be adding him to my accounts and updating my name?

Re: debt

If the debts were incurred during the marriage, they are marital and may be divided in a divorce.
