divorce and child custody

I have a 17 daughter and a 9 year old son. Can we have a seperate custody arrangement for each child?

Yes, especially if it's something the parties can agree on between themselves. But in any event, given that the visitation schedule that would make sense for a 9 year old would differ from that for a 17 year old, I think a reasonable custody agreement that addresses each kid differently for legitimate reasons would be allowed by the court.
