Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

Legal Custody

I need to know how hard it would be to terminate my ex wife's legal rights to the children. I have full physical custody of the children. Because just one instance would be that my ex, her boyfriend and the children were in an auto accident. Her and her boyfriend dropped the children off and went in to get themselves checked out, but couldn't get the children checked. The children ended up having whiplash.

Re: Legal Custody

While such behavior is concerning, it is likely a basis to seek supervised visits rather than being sufficient to seek a termination of parental rights. To terminate a parent's rights requires the highest standard of proof and is not granted without significant evidence of abuse/endangerment or where there is a less severe remedy available.
