Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

Signing over parental rights

I was just told my my unborn baby's father that he is thinking about signing over her rights to my baby. Please let me know what the chances are that he will be allowed to do this.

Re: Signing over parental rights

The chances are zero if there is not an agreement with the mother. A court will not terminate parenta rights unless it finds it is in the child's best interests. It will not do so simply to allow a person to avoid financial responsibilities.
