Each spouse has an equal right to reside in the marital homestead so absent a Court Order there is no way to make a spouse leave the homestead. The Order does not have to be premised on domestic abuse. A preliminary or temporary Order in a divorce or legal separation process can also order one party out of the homestead. The best way, however, is for the two of you to reach an agreement.
