Legal Question in Employment Law in Minnesota

Retaliation and slander?

Do I have any recourse to my predicament?

Can one of company's senior VP retaliate for having approached HR for help/arbitration?

Can the company base the dismissal reasons on (purely) verbal negative feedback by one person, not even my boss at the time? There was NEVER any official complaint in my personnel file I subsequntly requested.

Would the abovementioned suffice for filing a claim? (there were other points like occsional racial slurs, but these are hard to prove w/o documentary evidence, unlike the retaliation).
