Legal Question in Personal Injury in Minnesota

Car accident and TRUST fund

I am almost at a settlement stage in my accident, I was wondering if you could give me any information on Trust funds as this is one of the options set before me. I have done searches and cannot find anything related to a car accident trust fund.

Thank you in advance

Re: Car accident and TRUST fund

I would need further information to know exactly what type of settlement is being discussed. I suspect that what you are discussing is a structured settlement. Under a structured settlement, the insurance company keeps the settlement money and invests if for you with a payout occuring at a future time. The advantage to this is that you can get more money in the future because of interest and the money compounding. If this is an actual trust, who is discussing putting it into a trust. Do you have an attorney?

At this time our office is not representing you on any matter. If you do not have an attorney you should know that there are statute of limitations or periods of time within which you must bring a lawsuit or you will lose your claim for benefits.

If you have more questions or can explain more about this trust, I will be happy to answer your questions.
