Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Minnesota

Mobile Trailer on Property

We purchased land privately (contract drawn up through lawyers) Current tenant (who was supposed to be out 6-7) is wanting to move a mobile trailer that is on our property to 4 1/2 acres that currently has a lean on it and no utilites. We did not worry about the trailers when we signed the contract, letting us be able to get rid of them. What rights do we have to not have her move that trailer onto those 4 1/2 acres? The 4 1/2 is currently in her name with a lean against it and taxes haven't been paid since '03

Re: Mobile Trailer on Property

I would have to see the contract you refer to before I could give you much of an opinion.

Mobile homes, however, have title certificates issued by the state, much like cars. Ordinarily the title certificate would be controlling as to who owns the trailer and what the liens on the trailer are.

Good luck. This response is for general informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client relationship.
