My sister passed away a month ago. I am the exector of her will. She has beqeathed a sum of money to a friend that preceded her in death. Does that beqeath flow through to that friend's heirs?

That depends on the language in the will. There is more than one way to bequeath property in a will, and the way it was done will answer this question. I suggest hiring an attorney to help you administer the estate.
