Legal Question in Criminal Law in Mississippi

Bipolar Wife

I was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder, the mixed type. Prior to this diagnosis, my husband and I got into an altercation while I was in a manic episode. My husband was charged with domestic violence, assault with a deadly weapon and stalking, according to what I told the police officer. Here is the problem, I was in a severe manic episode and was delusional too...which goes along with the manic episode. My question is that with this daignosis and a letter from my doctor with the dignosis on it, can my husband very well be found not guilty? I am medicated now and have not had any other problems with the BPD.

Re: Bipolar Wife

Yes. In fact I recently handled just such a case with terrific results in Gulfport. Get a letter from your physician which explains that fabrication is a part of the manic episode and that should enable him (with competent counsel) to obtain a not guilty verdict.
