Legal Question in Family Law in Mississippi

Retirement/Divorce pay

I was married from 1984 to 1994 and was told by my lawyer that when my exhusband retired I was entitled to a portion of it. My exhusband is now on disability and remarried, am I still entitled to this and if so how much? I do not see this stated anywhere in my divorce decree. Do I have to take him to court for this if I am entitled to this?

If it is not in the divorce decree and there is no QDRO (Qualified Domestic Relations Order), I dont see any way you can collect. Also, if he is drawing disability, perhaps he is not drawing the retirement anyway. I think you should speak to the attorney that represented you in the divorce, but this case is very old.
