H1B to F1 with old paystubs

I am currenlty on H1B visa with 6 months old paystubs and I am not working right now. I want to apply for

F1 visa from my country because I have been admitted to PhD program. Will US consulate reject my F1 visa because I was not working for 6 months and my credit history is bad.

Re: H1B to F1 with old paystubs

The fact that you remained unemployed for a period of six months on an H1 implies that you did not maintain status in the USA. If you have been out of status in the United States for more than six months, you face a three year bar to re-entry. If you have been out of status for more than one year in USA you will face a ten year bar to reentry. You should seek out an immigration attorney before proceeding.
