Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

I have legal custody of my child. I live in Missouri. His father has every other weekend rights but we are in a situation where we need to move to Florida near my new husbands family to make ends meet. Is it legal to move to another state with my child?.

You need to give the father written notice of your intent to move, a so that he can have Assn opportunity to petition the Court for a modification. Keep in mind that you may be responsible fir some or all of your Childs travel expenses to maintain the fathers visits, if the child moves with you. Four flights a month between Missouri and Florida can affect ones budget.
