Legal Question in Business Law in Missouri

customer demands baseless refund

A customer bought a carpet remnant from my carpet store. I have a ''no refund'' policy printed on the door. She retunred with a sad story and begged for a refund before she picked it up. I gave it to her out of kindness. She returned a second time and bought the same carpet again. I very clearly told her to be sure because I would not refund her a second time. She bought the carpet and then a month later after not picking it up wanted a refund for a second time. I said no. I told her she needed to pick up her merchandise. She demanded her money and threatend to call her lawyer. Do I legally need to give her a refund or am I on solid ground in making her take the merchandise?

Re: customer demands baseless refund

You do not owe her a refund. You should send her a letter telling her that on 12/15 you are going to start charging her $2 a day for storage of the remnant.

You honored your part of the bargain and you told her you would not refund it a second time. You made a valid contract, and she should honor her part of it.
