Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Missouri

My job has been putting a certain amount of money in my paycheck,i thought the money was a sought of benefit so I did not ask why.now they said it was a mistake that I needed to pay them back the money.what can I do

It was their mistake. They should, therefore, work with you. See if you can have the money taken out in small increments. If the money wasn't yours, you probably owe it back. There may not be anything to prevent them from getting repaid. You might consultl directly with counsel in your area. Show them your pay stubs, to see if there might be other options for you. Many attornies offer a free or low cost initial consultation.
