Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri

I received a Notice of Levy yesterday from Citibank. A bill collector called me last week saying they had a judgement to take all of my assets. This was the first time I heard about a judgement. After argueing I never received a summons and how could they do this without my knowledge he looked up who and when I was served. It said summons was given to a "relative" but that is impossible since I live alone and there would be no relative.

I only have two things. My home owned by my husband and me and disability check. Can they take my home?

If the bill collector said what you reported, then you may possibly have an actionable cause against that collector. You can look up your case yourself on Casenet. You can look under you rname or under the case number. IF there is an issue as to service, you can seek to have the judgment set aside. If you are successful, you would have to defend the case.

If you only have a house and a disability check, it sounds like you do nto have assets that a collector could execute against. To be more certain, you should have an attorney look over your specific situation.

Good Luck
