Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri
minor
my brother was taken into police custody saturday night he is 16 his parents or his lawyer were not called, my parents actually had to call the police at 4am to find he had been there since 11, he is being held for MIP of alcohol and marijuana and theft of an ipod. how long can the police hold a minor(16 yrs) in police custody before calling his parents or attorney? (missouri)

There is no set time to notify the parents, however, the police are not allowed to question the minor until the parents have been notified.
