Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

Paraphenalia

Arrested on paraphinalia charge; booked and released; no court date given. Have been asked to ''work off'' charges. No priors.

1. Do I need written garantee of charges dropped in exchange for coperation? 2. Would verbal admision of drug use make the misdomenor into a felony? 3. Do I need a lawyer?

Re: Paraphenalia

You definitely need an attorney. I have seen numerous cases where the police have used a person like you for as long as that person was of any use and tehn charge that person with the crime and make sure that he is prosecuted tothe fullest extent of the law. They are trained to deceive you. They lie. They threaten. They intimidate. They are the ones who put handcuffs on you, put you behind bars, and totally disregard your individual rights. Do not trust them. You might be better off simply getting charged with the offense and either defending the charge or entering into a plea bargain. Please consult with, and hire an attorney.
