Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

robbery 2nd degree with ses probation

This is my first and only offence. It has been 16 years since my crime. I have not even got a parking ticket since. Is their any way of getting this off my record.

You should be able to "expunge" the since you received probation. This, for example, would allow you not to reveal it on an employment application.

You can try to do it yourself by getting the paperwork from the court clerk where you were convicted or a lawyer would do it for you for a modest fee.

Beside expungement, you might want to consider Certificate of Rehabilitation or maybe even a pardon.

Re: robbery 2nd degree with ses probation

I would need more information in order to determine whether it would be feasible for your prior offense to be expunged. In Missouri, it is very difficult to expunge a felony in state court. Expungment is a possibility in federal court. If the charge is not a felony, it may be possible to have the misdemeanor expunged. Also, I would have to look, but there may be a way to get a 16-year-old state felony expunged if the law on expungments has changed relatively recently. Again, I would have to get more details and look at some law. Please let me know if I can be of assistance.

Thanks,

James

Possibly yes. As long as you successfully completed all probation, were not sentenced to any prison time, and have no convictions since. Feel free to contact me for the legal help you'll need in getting expunged through motion and application to the court.
