commonlaw marriage - alimoney

i have living with my girlfriend for all most 9 years we do not get along anymore. and i want to leave.will i have to pay her any support if i do.i purchased a car together can she take my only mode of transportation away from me. she says that i will have to pay her and she will take the car. i don,t know my rights can anyone help me

There is no "common law" marriage in Missouri and no "palimony" either. You still have the problem of dividing up your property (the car for instance) and perhaps any joint debts you are both responsible for. Many times it is possible to work these things out without attorneys, but sometimes an attorney can help people in your situation cover all the issues and avoid having to go to court somewhere down the road.
