Re: custody --and abuse

Your post does not state where the Court Order was entered granting your ex-husband custody. If it is a Missouri court, you could file a Motion to Modify the Court Order and have your ex-husband served in Virginia. Due to the allegations of abuse you might consider filing a complaint with the local Division of Family Services or the Virginia counterpart. I do not practice in Virginia, but you should be able to gather the necessary information either over the internet or by contacting an office of the Division of Family Services here in Missouri.I do handle such matters here in the eastern half of the state, so if you would like a free telephone consultation you may call me at 314-727-2822.
