Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

ownership of the home

Im soon to start the divorce process. when we bought our home it was bought by my wife who had the better credit. After several months my name was added to the deed. does this give me part ownership of the home or is it still 100% hers?

Re: ownership of the home

I would highly recommend that you consult with an attorney to help you through the divorce process. Just because the house was purchased in your wife's name does not mean that she is entitled the house or all the proceeds from the sale of the house. Usually, the allocation of marital assets is negotiated as part of the divorce settlement. Please feel free to give me a call if you would like to discuss further.
