I was served with a Notice of Deposition for a divorce case and I just had a restraining order against the petitioner. I will be out of town on the date that is scheduled what should I do?

You or your attorney need to contact the attorney that requested the deposition immediately. They are accustomed to and often accomodating in rescheduling these, if you let them know soon. You may not be able to avoid being deposed, but you are not required to greatly alter your life and plans fit the timeline of the attorney seeking the deposition.

Good luck
