contracts

i have a contract for 5800 and now contracter says he underbid job.. can i make him do it for that much or how do i get him to release me from contract..roof has been started and not finished this is been going one going on 5months unfinished..

This is governed by the terms of the contract, and without the contract in front of me, I can't answer your question. If the contract calls for a finished price, and he made mistakes, that's his tough luck in most cases. Some contractors have a "mistake" clause, but I can't know if that's the case without seeing the document.

Contact a lawyer and get a legal opinion. It may be worthwhile to consider having the lawyer send a letter demanding "specific performance" of the contract.
