Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Missouri

A friend borrowed my car and got in an accident. He did over $2000 of damage, my deductible is $500, and my insurance will raise nearly $1300 over the next couple years. Do I have a case for him to have to pay the deductible and raise?

You did nto indicate whether yoru friend damged yoru car or another in the accident. You also did not say if your firend or another driver was at fault in the accident. i will assume that your friend caused the damge, and it was your car that got damaged. Morally, you have a good case to aks your firend to recompense you for your losses. Hopefully, your friend had his own insurance when you loaned him your car.In that case, you should make a claim against his insurer, so that yoru premiums will nto be affected. You can then take yoru "friend" to small claims court if they refuse to pay for the deductible portion.

Good luck
