personal information let out

I have been behind on my truck payment and A employee of the bank is going around and telling people about this issue even going as far as telling them how far behind and that my truck is getting taken.. Is this legal

Under the facts you described, the person making comments about you may have violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. It matters whether they were acting as an employee of the bank when they make such comments, and whether their employer is the creditor or deemed to be a debt collector in this acttivity.
