Legal Question in Employment Law in Missouri

What are the consequences of illigal question at the job interview?

Is it illigal to be asked at the job interview (I speak with an accent as I was bourn in another country) 1.What country are you from? 2.What brought you to America? 3.Do you have any support group of friends and family here? If those questions are illegal, what can I do about it?

The questions asked tend to seek information that would be impermissable. Your remedy, if you are not hired, would be to sue under state and federal discrimination statutes.

The above is meant to assist in a general understading of the subject matter. IT IS NOT TO BE REGARDED AS LEGAL ADVICE AND NO ATTORNEY - CLIENT RELATIONSHIP HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED. Companies and individuals with particular questions should seek advice of counsel.
